MySelf कविता वाल्ट विटमैन के द्रारा लिखा गया है | इनका जन्म 1819 इo को अमेरिका में हुआ था | उनकी कविताओ का संग्रह ‘Leaves Of Grass’ तथा Drum Taps है | वे अमेरिका में युद्ध के दौरान स्वय सेवक थे |
इस कविता में विटमैन स्वय ही गाते है तथा स्वय का ही आनंद लेते है | वे कहते है की जो मै मानता हु उसे सभी को मानना चाहिए क्योकि रक्त का प्रतेक कण सारे मानव जाती में एक सामान है | उनके खून का प्रतेक कण अमेरिकी मिट्टी तथा हवा से बना हुआ है |
वे अपने माता -पित्ता से जन्म लिए , उनके माता -पिता अपने माता-पिता से तथा ऐसे ही चलता रहता है | वे 37 वर्ष के है लेकिन उनका स्वास्त्थ अच्छा रहेगा उनकी मृतु तक वे ग्रीष्म के घासों के नुकीले भाग को गौर करना चाहते है
अंतत: वे कहते है की वे सही और गलत दोनों सोच सकते और प्रत्येक खतरे के लिए तैयार रहते है | वाल्ट विटमैन 1892 इo को गुजर गए थे
